Ectothermic Vertebrates
There are many classes of ectothermic (cold-blooded) vertebrates between which we must distinguish. Some of these are fully adapted to terrestrial life—to living on land—though they may still prefer to live in the water. Some of these adaptations include respiration through lungs, scaly skin, and eggs with shells.
